Scissors and Chill: Socially Distant Scissor and Knife Sharpening with the Sharpist

Stop by our parking lot on Monday, November 23rd from 12 - 4pm and get your scissors or blades sharpened by Devin James Fry, owner/operator of The Sharpist, in his mobile workshop! Devin will fix nicks and make your blades sparkle and shine on the spot, and can even do many common repairs. This is the perfect time to sharpen those knives before Thanksgiving! Most orders will take 30-60 minutes, so plan to do some shopping here at Fancy Tiger, grab an ice cream at Sweet Action, or stroll the neighborhood while you wait.

Here are a few more specifics on Devin's service: scissors (including pinking shears) are $5-$35 depending on type, size, and condition, with most sewing shears being $5-$10. Knives including serrated are $1 per inch with a $5 per-item minimum. Repairs, if they're needed, add a few dollars apiece depending on severity. Devin can also work on auxiliary kitchen blades (blenders, mandolins, food processors), garden tools, and other hand tools. For the most part all these items are $5-$15 depending on type and condition. He does not work on saws. Payment via cash, card, Venmo, and PayPal are all a-ok.

See you on the 23rd!
