My Moon Quilt
We are as obsessed with the moon as any nature-loving human so naturally we were thrilled to see this beautiful free pattern for a My Moon quilt inspired by the adorably iconic Heather Ross moon face. We stitched up a sample and put together some kits so you too could be inspired to make your own My Moon quilt.
Fabric: My Moon kit (shown here in Stormcloud ) plus 5 yds for backing. We chose this, but any fabric from Heather Ross's newly released Far Far Away II would be amazing.
Finished Size: 68" x 84" (twin sized)
This quilt comes together fairly fast.The base is a wholecloth and the moon face and stars are appliqued on. The beautiful moon face is identical to the moon featured in Heather Ross's Moons print.
We had this quilted at Eleventh House Quilt Studio and we love the cloud motif of the quilting! This is a beautiful project for the moon lover in your life. It comes together quickly and is perfect for a twin bed or as a throw.
