Lizz's Slouchy Dreiecke

I love slouchy hats. They are my winter and spring go-to for dirty hair days, and I love how finished they make a casual and quick look seem. There is something about jeans, boots, a down vest and a slouchy hat is just so...Colorado.

Dreiecke Hat in Cascade 220 Superwash

Very Shannon has a few of these awesome slouchies in her design list. I've been drawn to a lot of her patterns lately for their classic style, easy and quick knits, beautiful yarn choices and just plain good-looking-ness.

The Dreiecke hat by Shannon Cook of Very Shannon is a great example. It's slouchy and perfect for chilly ups-and-downs of Denver weather right now and looks super cute on just about every head out there. The knit-and-purl triangle pattern makes it interesting to knit but keeps it simple, making this is a great confidence-builder for beginners. Plus, it's written for worsted weight yarn which makes it super quick and a great stash buster. I'm already thinking about whipping up a couple more of these for next year's holiday gifting.

I'll be teaching this hat as a 201 class at Fancy Tiger this spring - teaching circulars and double point needles, reading a pattern and finishing details, it's great for a first project!
