Fen Pattern: Jess's Double Trouble Fen Tee

Jess stitched up the tee version of the Fen, using a knit on the front and neckline, and a lightweight woven on the back. Fen includes information on how to do this mixed up fabric version, and the result is a superfun tee that has the best of both worlds. Here is Jess with more on her Fen tee.

Pattern: Fen by Amber Corcoran for Fancy Tiger Crafts
Version: View A (with v-neck and drop hem)
Size Made: 10
Fabric: 1 yd Loominous Big Love, 1 yd Bamboo Jersey Amethyst
Modifications: I added 2" to the length because I have a long torso.

I knew as soon as I saw the Fen I had to make it! I was super inspired by the option to mash up and use two different fabrics! I chose bamboo jersey for the front and yarn-dyed Loominous woven for the back. I tend to almost exclusively sew with jersey these days. I love the drape and cozy feel but I wanted to spice it up a bit with a surprise in the back!

I have to admit, I get inside my head and always think I'm a less experienced sewer than I actually am. I was intimidated by the v-neck...super scared...and I was using jersey! The neckline just curled into a tube! After a few deep breaths and an iron, this was my favorite part! I LOVED how simple the instructions were and how beautiful the outcome was. I nailed it on the first try! ***confetti explosion!***

I will be wearing my Fen every damn day of this beautiful Autumn season!! High waisted pants and some boots will be my go to with this cozy tee. <3 Next up, I would like to try making a dress with a cotton/linen blend!

Thanks for a great pattern Amber and Fancy Tiger!!
