Danielle's Graphic Bucket Bag

I love it when you see a fabric and know exactly who it needs to go to-letting the gift idea evolve until it’s just right.

Pattern: Bucket Bag from Handmade Style by Anna Graham
Materials: ½ yard graphic printed Canvas, 2 ½ yards Essex Linen in Steel for exterior accent and straps and lining, and two fat quarters for pocket lining, two 6” zippers, 8 grommets, 1 Cooper Bag V2 Hardware Kit.
Modifications: None

This canvas fabric makes me think of my best friends’ Boston Terrier that passed away not long ago. The pocket fabric even reminds me of him since he was constantly eating the heads off of flowers he’d see. That lil pup was the main reason our group of friends met, and my friend loves a good-sized bag to carry things, so I knew this would be a perfect Birthday present for her!

Making the Bucket Bag was a little slow-going for me since this was my first time doing pockets, zippers, & hardware, but it helped having Tiffani’s Blog Post to reference & fellow Tiger opinions for the other fabrics.

This bag is so fun & looks so professionally done that I’m already making another one (using a quilting cotton for the outside this time, but basting canvas in between the layers to give it more structure). All in all, this is one of my absolute favorite makes and I’d definitely recommend it if you have a project or two under your belt!

We are currently sold out of this awesome Boston fabric, but check out our large selection of graphic canvas weight fabrics we have in-stock now.
